Two miles N of SR 110 on Old SR 17. Lake Maxinkuckee is a natural lake located in Marshall county. This 1,854-acre lake is Indiana's second largest natural lake, providing good fishing for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, white bass, rock bass, bluegill, and yellow perch. Many anglers also take advantage of the excellent opportunity to catch walleye, stocked annually by the DFW. The state owned PAS is located on the west shore, a marina on the south shore and a town park on the north shore.
Lake Maxinkuckee, covering 1,864 acres (8 km2), is the second largest natural lake in the U.S. state of Indiana . It is located near the town of Culver, Indiana, in southwestern Marshall County. Lake Maxinkuckee has a maximum depth of 88 feet (27 m) and an average depth of 24 feet (seven meters). Local residents and visitors practice ice fishing here, the most frequent catch being bluegill. Yellow perch, crappie, and bass are also common catches.
